A Probe Into the Popularity of Enrique Peña Nieto

The rather beautiful Enrique Peña Nieto is possibly the most popular presidential candidate for Mexico in years. For many people in the country, he is the best bet for the coming elections. The other candidates have good reason to worry about Nieto.

Despite the period for campaigning not yet officially starting, Nieto's fame among the voters has been steadily rising. He is an expert in the theater of politics and creates a tremendous impact on his audience when he speaks before his constituents. It has been remarked that the man even requires double the usual amount of time to pass through a group of persons because people keep trying to hold on to him.

Televisa is often named as a conspirator in Nieto's seemingly unassailable popularity. Detractors claim that Nieto got th TV company to agree to distribute the news of his career highlights with some handy money under the table. It is said that this is why the media giant keeps advertising the highlights of the politician's career.

Pretelini was able to give Nieto three children prior to her passing. It was while Nieto was functioning as a governor for the state of Mexico that his first wife died. The result of Pretelini's passing was a renewed interest in the handsome Nieto as people wondered who would be his next wife.

He has also gained attention for having gone around his former area of authority to find out what the locals needed and for working hard to resolve the demands. It is in relation to this that his concern for infrastructure has been noted.

When the promised public works were constructed, Nieto's campaign managers organized huge parties and gatherings for their (and Nieto's) promotion. It is no surprise that Nieto is perceived as someone who can deliver when it comes to promises. Detractors do say, though, that the lavish inaugurations for his public works were even more expensive than the actual public works.

His critics managed to get other fodder for their remarks about him when he made a few gaffes at the Guadalajara Book Fair. In the fair, the politician could not produce certain pertinent details about his alleged favorite books. Nieto was noted to have said that he usually forgot these details, being more interested in the tome's contents.

Unfortunately, quite a number of persons ridiculed him for it. The issue was further ignited when his eldest daughter, Paulina,labeled her father's critics as a bunch of morons who only criticize him because they envy his position. Even now, in spite of all the politician's efforts to stem the critics, they are still making fun of him for his alleged lack of intellectualism.

Enrique Peña Nieto has noted that his opponents tend to take his words out of context. That having been said, Nieto's bid for the presidential seat is still strong. Nieto is still considered the person with the biggest chance of winning because of his popularity with voters.
