Building Foundations, the Daniel Chavez Moran Way

With the development of numerous hotels and vacation spots from resorts to golf courses to tourism facilities, what more can be done? A betterment foundation is what a person should delve into next. One man who thought that this was a good notion was Daniel Chavez Moran.

With the arts not to mention social sciences in mind, it was Daniel Jesus Chavez Moran who founded the Grupo Vidanta which is a foundation that seeks to promote Latin influences on a global scale. Finding a way to help people who are constantly exposed to poverty and inequality is the goal of the foundation and they are intent on helping people whether they are of Latin descent or not. Daniel Chavez Moran owns a development company by the name of Grupo Vidanta and they are in charge of several vacation spots and the Mexican international airport.

As the main tourist destination developer in Mexico, Grupo Vidanta owns and operates a number of resorts and works with 10,000 employees. It was in 2005 when Grupo Vidanta decided to add a goodwill department to their operations. Before it was called the Grupo Vidanta Foundation, it was first labeled as Grupo Mayan.

Headed by Roberto Russell and operated by a group of young and passionate workers, Vidanta Foundation aims to educate the people of Latin America on why this part of the world remains poor and underdeveloped. When they educate others, they also inform them about how the region is being run in the political sense. Here, the foundation is trying to make the locals see what contributes to their situation of poverty.

Protecting the good relationship amongst different Latin American nations is what Grupo Vidanta aims to do. The relationship that is shared by the different Latin American regions like Brazil, Chile, and Haiti is what the foundation would like to introduce to the world and show how their efforts can help with the Haiti is now steadily rising from the rubbles of the devastating earthquake, and its neighboring countries, as well as the rest of the world, demonstrated how nations should be helping other nations.

The participation of Latin America in world activities is what the foundation is striving to achieve. When it comes to what Latin America can provide, the possibilities are endless to say the least. When it comes to Latin America, their people are friendly, religious, and festive and these qualities are what they can also share with other countries.

Democratic strength is another element that this particular foundation would like to improve on. Actually, this fight for democracy is in line with their fight to remove constant inequality. The main focus of this foundation is actually the economic and social development of all Latin American regions.

The printing of books and scholarly research is one of the things that Grupo Vidanta is focusing on. Most of the titles have a link not only to economic betterment but democratic aspects as well. Some of the books already produced are “Balance del Siglo”, “Entre la FrustraciĆ³n y la Esperanza”, and “Falling Behind: Explaining the Development Gap between the United States and Latin America”.

Aside from educators, the foundation is also working to get the attention of economists and politicians all over the world. The programs could be in the form of dialogues, seminars and conferences that talk on strategies in sustainable economic growth. Aside from this, Grupo Vidanta also provides assistance when there are activities that are launched to fight poverty and inequality.

When it comes to social issues, there are plenty of achievements under the belt of the foundation and to think that they have only been in existence for 6 years. Until there is some form of social oppression, the foundation will remain present. Everything the foundation does is a reflection of the man who made things possible, Daniel Chavez Moran.
